In August 2005 life changed drastically and permanently for Derek Lee Lubag when his body went into complete kidney failure. After two and a half years of treatment and testing, Derek will be receiving a second chance at life. On February 29, 2008 Derek's longtime friend Frank Celentano will generously and lovingly donate one of his kidneys. This web log will chronicle their journey through the process of the transplant and their lives after.
This immeasurable act of kindness comes with many risks and substantial on-going medical expenses and recovery costs for both young men. As a result we are asking friends and family to help us offset these costs and provide a stress free recovery process.
